Green Offices is a voluntary program which aims to increase the sustainability of workspaces at Williams. Learn how to make your office more sustainable and tell us what sustainable practices you’re already engaging in by completing the Green Offices checklist.
A carbon footprint corresponds to the whole amount of greenhouse gases (GHG) produced to, directly and indirectly, support a person’s lifestyle and activities. Carbon footprints are usually measured in equivalent tons of CO2, during the period of a year, and they can be associated with an individual.
An environmental consultant combines rigorous scientific knowledge, familiarity with regulatory requirements, and technical expertise to conduct thorough environmental assessments to identify and minimize risks that would result in legal action or fines
The Green Office Program is designed to help departments and offices be more sustainable
in their day-to-day operations. A checklist is provided to participating offices and filled out by liaisons. Things on the checklist include
energy conservation, waste minimization, purchasing, and more. Participating offices are supported by the Zilkha Center and the
Green Office Intern.
Smartgreeny is about guaranteeing our space exists for future generations, and is applied not only through an environmental framework but through economic and social ones, too. Joining the program means committing to
